Amazon portable poncho raincoat that fits backpack underneath so good people say it ‘saved the day’ is 25% off

The coat is perfect in a pinch

An Amazon raincoat has been massively discounted on the site. Originally £19.99, the coat now costs just £14.99 with a 25 per cent discount.

The Victoper waterproof poncho comes in seven colours: black, blue, green, grey, orange, pink, and navy. The green and orange versions have been discounted, while the grey and black's prices have dropped by 20 per cent rather than 25.

Made from PVC, the lightweight coat includes a waterproof pocket for your phone and other valuables. It's got an adjustable hood and hook and loop fasteners on the side for the perfect fit.

Thanks to its large size, you can throw it on over a backpack. When not in use, the poncho can be folded and stored in the included bag so you always have it in a pinch.

The raincoat has several uses; it can be unfolded into a tarp, making it possible to use as a shelter, floor mat, sleeping bag cover, or picnic blanket. The poncho holds a 4.5-star rating on Amazon.

One person said: "August 2023 has been very wet indeed and I bought this poncho as a last minute thought. I am so pleased I did. We had 18 hours of rain on our tent and we were saved from being drenched by using this poncho as a cover for our tent.

"It was 100% waterproof and saved our holiday from being a disaster. I did get to wear it once and it was the ideal wet weather cover, keeping all my clothes dry. It dries quickly and packs away in the handy bag - I highly recommend this poncho."

Another person added "Bought to wear to a two day festival on a very rainy weekend. Wasn't expecting it to be up to the job, but was pleasantly surprised! Torrential downpours on day one did not seep through this poncho! Even more downpours on day two and I remained dry.

"Big enough to wear over the top of my fairly large backpack, and kept that dry too. Drawstring on hood was good for keeping the hood up and stopped water seeping in at the front. Pocket on front great for putting my phone in (also helped weigh the poncho down to prevent me from taking off like a human balloon!) and kept it dry.

"Will be buying another for my other half who got pretty soggy in his emergency purchase poncho which was more expensive (festival prices huh!) and nowhere near as effective." However, one disappointed customer added: "Too loose being one size and small arms, otherwise would have been better suited! Not worth the price. The picture looks deceiving!"
